These photos show Standard Gauge trains manufactured (1933-1960) by Doggenweiler, of Chile. The large electric locomotive is 3-rail, and a 2-B-B-2 type (4-4-4-4). But it simulates a 1-C-C-1! I had never heard of model trains being made in Chile. Here's a link to the (English language) Doggenweiler site: http://members.fortunecity.es/locomotoraselectricas/doggenweilereng.htm Here's the underside of the loco, which weighs an astounding 30 pounds!

This is the Doggenweiler baggage car.

And a Doggenweiler coach.
These are Doggenweiler freight wagons. This is a factory sample for a Doggenweiler tram. It has no motor. It's owned by Chuck Schaffer. And this is the Doggenweiler factory sample tram "trailer" car. This is a Japanese model of a 2-C-C-2 electric locomotive in 1 Gauge, 3-rail, manufactureer unknown. A small brass plate on the side reads "Science & Model Osaka." Here's a view of the underside of the loco.
Here's a view of the Lego layout. And another view of the Lego layout. But wait- what is that in the background! It's a Lego version of the WWII Japanese super-battleship Yamoto. This battleship was bigger and more powerfully armed than the largest American battleship Iowa-Class. It was sunk by American carrier aircraft in 1945, before it could ever bring its guns to bear on any American ships.
